Porto, March, 2023 – Our schools are living unprecedented times. During these past few year’s education stakeholders have doubled down their efforts to adapt to these times. Acknowledging this context, during three days, jp.ik want to enable a forum where it can come together as an Education community.
jp.ik will be stationed at ICC Capital Suite 2, on South Hall, Level 3, at Bett, featuring its latest offers for technology and an ecosystem of partners who take this opportunity to leverage their educational solutions. For this edition, jp.ik joins efforts with five key partners: Intel, Microsoft, Ludium Lab, IP3 Technology and Weibu, seeking to cooperate on the development of new technologies that can transform the future of education. Opportunities for communication and collaboration that change the roles of teachers and learners.
New announcements
In partnership with Intel, will be made a special launch of the device TURN T305. This equipment has an advanced technology and customized features for educational environment. “With an Intel® N-series processor, that delivers the performance students need and the affordability they want, to connect, learn and play anywhere. jp.talks 2nd edition
On the afternoon of March 30th, jp.ik will host the 2nd edition of jp.talks with a diverse lineup of speakers. Insights and experiences on how technology can revolutionize education, in the new age of ‘anytime, anywhere education’. “jp.ik is inviting its most valued partners from all over Europe and Americas to share learnings and address the next opportunities to support an inclusive learning environment for all” says Jorge Sá Couto, jp.ik Chairman.
The session starts at 3pm with a brief introduction by jp.ik’s host. Agenda will cover some themes like how AI impacts the education industry by Microsoft, Intel® Skills for Innovation (Intel® SFI): powering education evolution by Intel; the software approach to reduce learning problems by Ludium Lab and new will applied technologies on devices by IP3 Technology and Weibu.
Closing the event, a partner from Americas will talk about Honduras Project: how to use the national curriculum to help the students achieving their learning goals by One Laptop Per Child Initiative. These sessions will be followed by open discussions around teaching and learning, security, learning spaces and devices in a relaxing environment. The event will end with networking cocktails. This edition promises to be an exciting and informative forum for tech industry leaders interested in the connection of technology and education.
New partnerships
jp.ik has signed an agreement with iFixit, to promote sustainability and extend the life of devices, avoiding premature disposal and promoting the circular economy. This collaboration will also provide better access to repair and maintenance information, increasing user autonomy and reducing the need for constant device replacement.
More recently, jp.ik stablished a partnership with Adobe, the world leader in graphic design and multimedia software. This partnership is an important step for the software package extension ikES. A ready-to-use software suite with several education apps, providing all the tools necessary to support teachers in the classroom and engage students in learning activities. With the certification, “Adobe Certified Reseller and Education Specialization”, jp.ik demonstrates the commitment to provide high quality solutions to educational institutions, expanding digital resources into the classroom.
