Over thirty years ago, the brothers João Paulo and Jorge Sá Couto began their adventure in the technological universe. jp sá couto began with a premium technical assistance service that later moved foward into the Distribution sector.

In mid-2000s the experience, knowledge and long-lasting relationships with partners recognized worldwide, such as Microsoft and Intel, resulting from our work in Distribution, gave us the opportunity to fly even higher. In 2008, we pioneered the development of technology especially designed for education and we implement the very first large-scale ICT education project in Portugal, which still is considered the biggest project in Europe.

Since 2008 jp.ik, the business unit for Education of jp sá couto, has led a pioneering Education initiative based on technology applied to Education. jp.ik is present in more than 100 countries, having already led the implementation of more than 20 large-scale educational projects, reached more than 17 million students and capacitated more than 320 thousand teachers.

Each branch is a fundamental part of jp.ik’s offer tailored to create, integrate and spread the best practices in the use of ICT in the education. At jp.ik we adapt the technology for use in the classroom, we advise teachers and ICT managers to use educational devices and tools that improve the performance of educational agents and promote the pedagogical practice of the school curriculum. jp.ik features in its portfolio ikES – inspiring knowledge Education Software – a software package that provides all the necessary measures to help teachers in the classroom and engage students in learning activities.

ENGINEERING

Within engineering dimension we focus on the operationalization of the project requirements. Specialized professionals are dedicated to project design and project management, industrial consulting, technical support, repair centers designing and implementation. We focus in creating synergies with local partners transferring our knowledge to assure autonomy and a sustainable project approach. We make it happen.

PEDAGOGY

The pedagogical dimension defines pedagogical strategies and technological resources oriented to the learning outcomes.
